End Hunger Connecticut! (EHC!) is a statewide anti-hunger and food security policy organization dedicated to ending hunger beyond emergency food and promoting healthy nutrition in Connecticut.
Connecticut is fortunate to have a wide panoply of organizations that stock emergency food pantries and prepare or serve soup kitchen meals. There are many organizations planting community gardens, promoting local agriculture and building a sustainable food system. There are numerous entities advocating for good nutrition and healthy food choices. EHC! enthusiastically partners with each of these types of organizations and is the ONLY statewide anti-hunger organization exclusively directed to food security policy and federal nutrition programs.
Our knowledgeable, accessible and caring outreach workers are on the ground in communities across Connecticut, ensuring people have access to nutritious food. SNAP outreach has been a central component of EHC!'s anti-hunger mission since 2001. Field staff are based in four regions of the state to convenience SNAP applicants.
